MY CHILDHOOD

Do some smells remind you of your childhood? What associations do they have?
The smell of clay reminds me of when I was at primary school , and we played with the clay to make figures. Among other smells, I've always liked the smell of Nenuco perfume, because it reminds me when I was five years old and my mum put me some of this perfume. When I smell Nenuco perfume, I can imagine my mother dressing and embracing me before going to school.

What about sounds? Do some sounds or songs have strong associations for you positive or negative?
Yes, I really like the sound of the zipper of a tent opening. It makes me think of my holidays in Cazorla. I have been there every summer since I was born, with some friends and their families. Because of it, when I listen to a zipper of a tent, it brings me great memories. Also, certain songs bring me back memories. The song 'Let her go' of Passenger reminds me of last summer in the bus to 'Magic Island'(Sevilla). During the trip, Lucia, who is one of my best friends and I were singing that song. We really loved it!

What can we tell people who want to hurt peaceful people?

I think there are lots of people who want to hurt peaceful people.
Some years ago, they discriminated much more than now. If you were born woman, your life was based on being the servant of your husband, and you couldn't do anything without his consent. In fact, a long time ago, you could die according to your religion.
Actually, in Spain we are all free, but in other countries that's a reality.

Returning to the subject of this comment, there are lots of people inthis world that hurt other people. Because of it, there are many wars, and many cases of bullying, terrorism, etc. I don't know why we hurt or kill each other if we are all human! Maybe, they kill because they can't distinguish between what's good and what's wrong. So, we should educate them. But maybe, they kill for fun.

TERROR IN PARIS!!!! Nous sommes tous Paris!!!

It's terrible what happened on last 13th Friday in Paris. There were several terrorist attacks. There was a shooting at the restaurant Petit Cambodge, a second shooting in the 'Bataclan Theatre' and an explosion in a brewery near 'The France Stade'. In total, 137 people killed and 415 people injured.

These terrorists or 'Yiadists' have said that they will attack again. Their new goals are London, Rome and Grenade! I'm a bit frightened because of it. I think it's going to be a world war.

Because of what happened on Friday 13th, the Eiffel Tower turned off its lights and thousands of famous monuments all around the world dressed with the French flag. In fact, for the first time since its opening, Disney Land Paris closed its doors for a day.
Now, I would like to give my personal opinion. I reckon that we are giving too much importance to all this that has happened in Paris. Everyday, people die, especially in third world countries, and nobody does anything.

On the same day that Paris attacks happened, there was an earthquake in Japan, a funeral bombed in Baghdad, a suicide bombing in Beirut and another earthquake in Mexico. In 24 hours, we lost 115,200 heartbeats.

Eating less meat could save 45,000 lives a year, experts claim.

I can't believe it! Well...I've always known that eating too much meat isn't very healthy, but I didn't know it can cause 45,000 deaths a year! That's a big problem, especially for Spain. In my opionion, most Spanish people usually eat meat, and it can produce obesity, and other problems like cancer. However, we can't forget to eat meat sometimes, because it contributes with vitamins that are necessary for our body.
At home, I usually eat meat, and I hardly ever eat fruit and vegetables. My parents always tell me that I have to eat more fruit and vegetables, but I don't want listen to them.
I reckon we should start to eat more healthily, and avoid going to fast food restaurants like Mc Donald's or Burger King, whose meats we really don't know of which animal it is from.
Let's do it!

MY VILLAGE NOW AND 50 YEARS AGO

I live in a small village in the south of Spain, called Lobres. It's too different now from fifty years ago.
Lobres is bigger than fifteen years ago. There didn't use to be any buildings, there used to be old houses. Now, there are houses and some block of flats. There used to be a sugar factory near my village. Nowadays, it's an alcohol factory. There used to be just tracks, and the cattle moves on it. Now, there are cobbed streets, and it's very difficult to see any cattle around the village. There also used to be a bridge, which was destroyed by a flood. Today it's reformed, although it isn't so beautiful as the first one.

Transport is also different. My parents have told me that they used to use carriages to move from one place to another. Now, most people have cars, and we can also take the bus or a taxi. In fact, there didn't use to be a motorway near my village and now, there is one.

Fifty years ago there wasn't much to do in my village, but children had fun just with a stick and a Stone. On the contrary, children of these days have fun differently, mainly thanks to the advanced technologies. In Lobres, there isn't still much to do, except for our great park and our fantastic swimming pool.

In conclusión, life was quieter then, but in my opinión it's better now.

MO MALONE

Who was Mo Malone?
I didn't know who he was until I searched some information about him in the Internet.

Mo Malone or Moses Eugene Malon, was born in Petesburg, Virginia, on 23rd Mars, 1955, and he died in Norfolk, Virginia, on 13th September, 2015 at the age of sixteen. He died because of a heart attack while he was sleeping.
He was a professional basketball player who served in both the NBA (National Basketball Association) and the ABA (American Basketball Association) from 1974 through 1995.
He also won lots of awards during his career. In fact, Malone won an NBA championship in 1983.

In my opinion, Mo Malone was a great basketball player and it's a pity that he died so young. However, we have also good basketball players, like Pau Gasol or Rudy Fernandez.

THIS IS ME, BY MARIA JOSE

To begin with, I'm going to write about my image. In my opinion, I'm trendy. I almost always wear T-shirts and jeans that suit me, although I wear smart clothes on special ocassions like Christmas Eve or New Year. I sometimes wear make-up. However, I never wear a bracelet or a necklace.

What things do I love doing? I really love getting up late on Saturday and Sunday mornings. It's fantastic! I also love metting my friends at the wekend, and going shopping. The other thing I love is my mobile. I can't live without it! I really love taking photos of me and my friends.

On the contrary, there are also things that I hate. I hate studying and doing my homework, but I always do them, because I want to pass my exams. If I get good results, I get a university degree in some years. Because of it, I will win lots of money. An other thing that I really hate is boring people. When I'm with that kind of people I'm so bored that I'd just go to sleep.
