TWITTER

Twitter is a microblogging service, created in California in March, 2006, by Jack Dorsey. Actually, five hundred millions of people use it.
The network can send plain text messages, with a maximum of 140 characters, called tweets, which are displayed in the user's home page. Users can subscribe to other users' tweets - this is called "follow", and the users and subscribers are called "followers". If you are a follower noob who haven't made many tweets, your name is 'tweep'.
From what I've seen, Twitter has been very famous, but now there are other social networks like Facebook, Whatssapp, Instagram also very famous. They are very similar, but the problem is that Twitter is old-fashioned.
From my experience, Twitter is as interesting as the others, but it's less secure, because many people use it.
So Twitter's got a point, because you can write short messages, communicate with other people, meet famous people, you can follow lots of people and lots of people can follow you, but it can be an addiction and you should do other activities like meeting your friends, walking your dog, riding your bike, going to the park, etc.

TV HIGHLIGHTS - BY MARÍA JOSÉ GARCÍA

The highlight of this week's TV was definitely the quiz show 'What's this?', where five participans answered very difficult questions. It was incredible! After thirty minutes, there were only two participans who answered questions. Finally, the winner won a car!!

La que se avecina was also worth watching. It's a sitcom. In Monday's episode, Monte Pinar came to a hotel, and the characters acted as if they were hotel workers, to make money. In the end people discovered the masquerade. Funny stuff!!

Finally, something which also caught my eye was the film 'Under the same star'. A girl with cancer meets a one-legged guy, suffering from a cancer, and they both fall in love. Finally, the guy dies before the girl because the cancer had spread around all his body. It was a very sad story. I cried a lot.

GOOGLE- WHAT IS IT?

The term 'Google' is based on the Word 'googol', by Milton Sirotta, nephew of American mathematician Edward Kasner. This term refers to the number represented by 1 followed by 100 zeros. Nothing in the universo exists in a huge number as a googol, no stars, no atoms..

Google uses this term to reflect our misión to organize the large amount of information, and make it accesible and useful for everyone.
